About Joshua

Joshua has been a student of the arts since his earliest memories. His early life was filled with figure study with pencil and paper, leading into a variety of other mediums. As he progressed, Joshua decided that he would put a focus into the three dimensional arts, focusing on a love of sculpting that would lead him into a variety of hands-on careers. His early college years were full of interior design, culinary arts, and business programs, although school never proved to be the correct learning ground.

In a twist of fate, Joshua would visit the home town of his future wife, Chelsea, for a costume convention. Ultimately, they would marry and pursue a life in arts through any means. Joshua would pursue a career in the motion picture industry as a prop builder, all the while competing in cosplay contests alongside his wife.

2020 happened, bringing the motion picture industry and cosplay to a grinding halt. Through another twist of fate, Chelsea was offered a tattoo apprenticeship under Estella Lucero at Blue Siren Tattoos in May of 2020, finding Joshua as administration for the studio. After 6 months of working in administration, Joshua began to pursue ideas for becoming a tattoo artist.

He began his mentorship under Dylan Hurst of Blue Siren Tattoos in January of 2021, with a focus in color theory and illustrative tattoos. He completed the apprenticeship program in October of 2021. He currently specializes in nostalgia color-work (anime and cartoons).

Joshua is currently tattooing at Wild Tribe Tattoos and Piercings in Buford GA.
